LUCKY COLOR FILM SUPER NEW100

¡¡¡¡ Lucky Super NEW100 Color Film is the latest generation of color film with improved definition, which is developed by Lucky Corp. after Super GBR100. It has got a considerable progress in granularity, definition, color reproduction, exposure latitude, latent image stability as well as physical characteristics, especially in MTF, color contrast, anti-abrasion intensity, silver bleaching speed. It is not only the ideal film for amateurs but also the perfection for professional photography. It can be used under sunlight, electronic flashlight, blue flash bulb. Main characteristics are as blow:

SAFE ILLUMINATION

¡¡¡¡The film handling requires total darkness. If necessary, a dark green safelight lamp at 0.5m can be used for 30s only. The lamp is made up of lucky safelight filter LZ-7 or Kodak safelight NO.7 or other equivalents with 15w bulb, which has transmitting range of 520nm to 540nm.

PROCESSING

¡¡¡¡This film is intended for processing with lucky process G-70, G-70RA or KODAK process C-41, or other equivalents.

MARK

¡¡¡¡On 135-size film edges, there are latent image printed words ¡°LUCKY SUPER NEW100¡± and consecutive frame numbers S,SA,1,1A,2,2A, up to 12 and 12A or 24 and 24A or 36 and 36A as well as latent image bar code etc., they appear clearly after processing.
¡¡¡¡On 120-size film back paper, packages of 135-size and 120-size film, the following data are printed: LUCKY trademark, film name, ISO speed, emulsion number, ¡°DEVELOP BEFORE¡± date, process, manufacturer etc., on 135-size film magazine, DX code are also printed.
COATING STRUCTURE:
LUCKY SUPER NEW100 color film has 14 coating layers, they are: protective layers, UV absorbing layer, blue-sensitive emulsion and yellow coupler unit layer (high, low-sensitive sub-layers), yellow filter layer, green-sensitive emulsion and magenta coupler unit layer (high, medium, low-sensitive sub-layers), interlayer, red-sensitive emulsion and cyan coupler (high, medium, low-sensitive sub-layers), interlayer, antihalation layer, film base, anti-curl and anti-static layer.

SENSITIVE PROPERTIES


(1)Sensitivity

¡¡¡¡Speed marked on film is ISO100/21, but in order to avoid the shooting failure of deficient exposure, actual speed is ISO100/21. Therefore, over exposure is obtained while shooting at ISO100, the darkness of objects will locate in the straight line of the curve. Because of the fairly good straight line of this product as shown in Diagram 2, the reproduction of darkness is improved and the high-light tone is reproduced pretty well. As a result of high speed of blue-sensitive layer than other layers, good prints can be obtained when the color temperature of shooting light source is lower than the film balance color temperature 5500k.

(2)contrast

¡¡¡¡Flashlight is widely used in photography nowadays, which make the brightness contrast of objects very high. In order to reflect the objects in different areas, Super NEW100 has suitable contrast which can keep the contrast of distant objects appropriate and the contrast of close objects not too high and the total contrast of image moderate.

(3)Exposure Latitude

¡¡¡¡Owing to the adoption of multi-layer technology in red-sensitive, green and blue-sensitive layers in Super NEW100 (3 layers and 2 layers respectively), the three characteristic curves have good straight line, which makes the latitude, wider from ¨C2 to +3. Satisfactory image gradation and color reproduction can be obtained, when it is
exposured from ¨C2 to +3.

(4)Inter-layer Effect

¡¡¡¡With the adoption of new DIR coupler, DIAR compounds and DIAR coupler which will restrain development at suitable time and area, Super NEW100 obtains strong interlayer effect. From Diagram 2 we see that the curve contrastindex of single color exposure of the three layers are apparently higher than that of sunlight exposure, its interlayer effect is: blue-sensitive layer¡Ý15%, green and red-sensitive layers¡Ý30%. The improvement of single color contrast increases the color saturation, Super NEW100 makes great improvement in the reproduction of red and green, which make the image sharp, bright and saturated.

(5)Spectrum characteristic

¡¡¡¡The spectrum sensitivity curve of Super NEW100 as shown in Diagram 3 has a cut off in the UV region which makes the image not cyan when there exists a lot of UV rays in illumination or the objects have strong reflection in UV region. Meanwhile the blue-sensitive layer is sensitized spectramly and red-sensitive, green-sensitive layers have a sensitized peak respectively. The saturated curve records the color of objects realistically.

(6)Reciprocity failure

¡¡¡¡Owing to the application of multi-layer structure and heavy metal ion doping in grain structure, the characteristics of reciprocity failure is improved, especially in solves the high intensity reciprocity failure in flash light photography.

Detail properties


(1)Granularity

¡¡¡¡With the adoption of modern balanced multi-jet emulsification technology in the manufacture of emulsion, the dispersion of sensitive centers and the latent image centers becomes more reasonable. The emulsion crystal of multi-layer flat grain becomes thin, regular and small-size.
¡¡¡¡Polymerized coupler and fuzzy couple are adopted in some sensitive layers. The petty particle of polymerized coupler(¡Ï¦Ì) makes the dye particle smaller than that of oil-soluble coupler and the dispersion of dye particle regular in image forming. The application of fuzzy coupler is helpful to make image particle petty and reduce particle size visually.
The third generation DIR compounds adopted in the sensitive layer bring good innerlayer effect.
¡¡¡¡The adoption of new technologies gives Super NEW100 petty particle and good texture sensation. Diagram 4 is the telescope print of high-sensitive emulsion.

(2)Resolving power

¡¡¡¡With the application of new flat-grain emulsion and polymerized coupler, the thickness of the coating is greatly reduced, the resolving power is improved to 125c/mm. With the combination application of new DIR, DIAR compounds, the edge of the image becomes sharper, picture becomes more beautiful.

Processing properties

(1)Fast silver bleaching speed

¡¡¡¡With the adoption of bleach-accelerant coupler, the silver bleaching speed of the film during processing is fastened and Super NEW100 can adapt C-41RA rapid access totally.

(2)The application of new mask technology improves the color truthfulness and Super NEW100 is compatible with KODAK channel. Diagram 6 is the spectrum dye density curve.

Storage


¡¡¡¡Unexposed film should be kept in the original package in dry, cool, radiation-free, chemical gas-free places, because high temperature, high humidity, radiation, chemical gas all have adverse effects on film photographic and physical properties. The general recommendatory storage temperature is blow 13¡ãc, and relative humidity is below 65%.

Remark

¡¡¡¡The film stored at low temperature should be conditioned at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours before opening the package for shooting in order to prevent condensation on film surface and degradation of the film.
¡¡¡¡The photographic properties of film may change during aging, therefore the film should be used in ¡°DEVLOPE BEFORE¡± date. Try to expose the film loaded in camera in time. The exposed film should be processed as soon as possible.

¡¡¡¡The data and curves in this data sheet are the results under standard exposure, process and sensitometric instrument conditions, they are only an average evaluation of products. They are not equal to that of any certain box or roll of film.
